Amazing Properties of Bacillus
Bacillus subtilis, HU58
The HU58 strain produces over a dozen natural antibiotic substances inside the gut. This powerful strain also produces vitamin K2 and other nutrients and plays a key role in immune system development, and has been studied for its role in reducing antibiotic-associated diarrhea in both adults and children.4,5*
Bacillus coagulans (SC-208)
B. coagulans is a potent stimulator of the immune system and also produces nutrients in the gut. It’s one of the five strains in MegaSporeBiotic shown, in a 90-patient clinical trial, to improve IBS symptom scores and quality of life, and, in animal research, to reduce inflammation and protect the colon lining in a model of ulcerative colitis.6,7*
Bacillus clausii (SC-109)
One of the most widely used probiotic species worldwide, B. clausii resists being killed by antibiotics during antibiotic treatment. It also has immune stimulating properties.*
Bacillus licheniformis (SL-307)
This Bacillus strain produces bacitracin, a natural antibiotic. It aids the body to digest proteins through protease production and produces a broad spectrum of B vitamins and folic acid.*
Bacillus indicus, HU36
This proprietary strain of B. indicus stimulates the immune system and produces carotenoid antioxidants inside your gut, including beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene and the powerful antioxidant astaxanthin. It also produces vitamins and other nutrients in the gut. The unique properties of the HU36 strain allow MegaSporeBiotic to supply antioxidants directly to the GI tract, where they are best absorbed.*
MegaSporeBiotic – Healthy Gut Flora Support
MegaSporeBiotic is a probiotic that supports and reconditions the gut microbiome to help the body heal from bacterial challenges and maintain a strong immune system*. MegaSporeBiotic has quickly become our top-selling supplement and is used by thousands of healthcare practitioners and it’s become a huge favorite among families and practitioners alike.
Because MegaSporeBiotic is made from Bacillus spore-forming probiotics, they reach the digestive tract in full potency. Studies show that leading probiotic formulas containing non-spore forming bacteria like Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria are drastically reduced or completely killed by heat and stomach acids.
This powerful probiotic contains five well researched strains of Bacillus probiotics that create favorable conditions to promote the growth of your resident “healthy” bacteria, like Lactobacillus, Akkermansia and Bifidobacteria species. Studies also show MegaSporeBiotic supports a healthy gut barrier.1*
True probiotics work by reconditioning the gut, meaning they make conditions better for your resident healthy gut microbes to grow and flourish. They promote a diversity of microbes, a key indicator of a healthy gut. Restoring the balance of healthy gut microbes also crowds out disease-causing bacteria.
Convenience, Quality and Value

Embrace Health Naturals has been an Authorized and Trusted Seller of Microbiome Labs products since 2017.

How to Use MegaSporeBiotic
Please Follow Our Usage Guide
The bottle label instructions are for general health and wellness only. Our usage guide offers additional guidance for more significant or persistent gut challenges. Please follow our usage guide, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
Use
MegaSporeBiotic is potent. For first time users, we suggest starting with less than what’s listed on the bottle — see Precautions below for details.
Take with a meal or right afterward. Capsule can be swallowed whole, or opened and mixed into food for partial amounts. Follow the Probiotic Restoration Guide above for the right amount and schedule for you, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
Precautions
MegaSporeBiotic is generally well tolerated. For first time users we recommend following the Probiotic Restoration Guide above, starting with smaller amounts, increasing gradually over two to three weeks.
As unhealthy gut bacteria are crowded out, some people notice temporary discomfort like headaches, body aches, fatigue, or loose stools — as those bacteria release toxins when they die off; this is usually a sign the product is working. If it’s uncomfortable, reduce your amount or pause until it clears, then start again slowly per your tolerance.
Taking the toxin binder Mega IgG2000 or GI Detox+ alongside can help absorb these die-off toxins and ease symptoms.
Formal safety studies haven’t been done on MegaSporeBiotic for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, so as with any new supplement, be sure to check with your healthcare provider.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this help with gut recovery after antibiotics or a C. diff diagnosis?
Yes — MegaSporeBiotic is one of our most trusted products for antibiotic and gut recovery, and it’s the product our customers keep coming back for as part of their everyday routine. Some people, especially during a more difficult recovery like a C. diff diagnosis, choose to add RestorFlora and Mega IgG2000 for extra support — available together in our Gut Restoration Pack. The right approach really depends on your situation, so reach out anytime for personalized guidance.*
Does MegaSporeBiotic help with leaky gut?
Yes — this is one of MegaSporeBiotic’s most well-documented benefits. A clinical study found that MegaSporeBiotic supplementation over 30 days was associated with a 60% reduction in a blood marker linked to gut barrier permeability (often called “leaky gut”), along with lower triglycerides and reduced inflammation.1*
Does MegaSporeBiotic help with IBS?
There’s promising research here. A 90-patient clinical trial found that MegaSporeBiotic supplementation was associated with improvements in IBS severity scores and quality of life. That said, IBS has many different underlying causes, so results can vary from person to person — we recommend working with your healthcare provider to find the right approach for your situation. Mega IgG2000 has also been studied for IBS support and may be worth adding if you’re looking for extra help in this area.6*
Is MegaSporeBiotic safe to take alongside antibiotics?
Yes — MegaSporeBiotic is not affected by antibiotic drugs, so it can be taken at the same time. Research has even shown these strains remain protective and support healthy immune and gut function during antibiotic exposure.8* Many doctors routinely recommend probiotics during antibiotic therapy. As always, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you have questions about your specific situation.
What should I expect when I start taking MegaSporeBiotic?
MegaSporeBiotic is generally well tolerated. Some people notice mild, temporary symptoms — like loose stools, headache, or fatigue — during the first week or two as unhealthy gut bacteria are crowded out; this is usually a sign the product is working. Starting with less than the full amount and increasing gradually (as outlined in our Usage Guide) helps minimize this, and symptoms typically ease once your gut adjusts.

About Microbiome Labs

Microbiome Labs was founded by microbiologist Kiran Krishnan and Dr. Tom Bayne, driven by a simple frustration: too many supplements make claims with little research behind them. That mission led to the discovery of spore-based Bacillus strains stable enough to survive digestion — the foundation of MegaSporeBiotic. The company has since pioneered spore-based probiotics and, with the backing of Novonesis, a global biotech leader, continues to invest heavily in clinical research to support its formulas. It’s why we’ve trusted and recommended their products since 2017.

Research Behind MegaSporeBiotic
A study published in the World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pathophysiology found that MegaSporeBiotic supplementation over 30 days was associated with a 60% reduction in serum LPS (a marker linked to gut barrier permeability), reduced triglycerides, and fewer signs of inflammation, in 75 adults.1
A 2020 study conducted by researchers at Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Inflammation and Immunity, published in the Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition, looked at mice with a recurring C. difficile colon infection. Mice given the same five spore-forming Bacillus strains found in MegaSporeBiotic showed less gut inflammation, stronger immune activity, and a sturdier gut lining, compared to mice that didn’t receive the probiotic strains. The probiotic-fed mice also had healthier iron levels — notable because C. diff relies on iron to grow, suggesting these strains may help crowd it out by competing for the same resources it needs to thrive.2
An 80-person, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial found that MegaSporeBiotic supplementation was associated with a 38% reduction in triglycerides over 12 weeks in adults with elevated triglyceride levels.3
A clinical study of 60 adults found that Bacillus subtilis HU58 supplementation was associated with a reduction in antibiotic-associated diarrhea.4
A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 68 children found that Bacillus subtilis HU58 supplementation was associated with a reduction in antibiotic-associated diarrhea.5
A clinical study of 90 patients with IBS found that MegaSporeBiotic supplementation was associated with improvements in IBS severity scores and quality of life, comparable to standard treatments such as the antibiotic rifaximin and a low-FODMAP diet.6
A rat model study found that supplementation with the Bacillus spore strains in MegaSporeBiotic (combined with MegaMucosa) reduced inflammatory markers and showed protective effects on colon tissue.7
These statements describe published research on these ingredients. They are not claims that this product diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any disease.
